Abstract
Management support is one of the pillars towards patient safety at the Hospital. Commitment to management support in patient safety is an application of an absolute patient safety culture. As management support is expected to be able to provide direction and drive the device of the Hospital in improving the quality of services that are in accordance with patient safety standards. This study aims to analyze the influence of management support for incidents of patient safety at RSUD A. W. Sjahranie Samarinda. Type of analytic study with cross sectional design with a total sample of 119 respondents through proportional random sampling technique. Primary data is processed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was an effect of management support (p = 0.038 <0.05; R = 5.633) on the incidence of patient safety. Management support as a strong planning and policy making is a major component so that the Hospital remains focused on improving service quality. Several studies have shown that management support is needed especially in promoting patient safety to suppress incidents.
